LAHORE: Under the patronage of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Punjab University College of Art & Design (PUCAD) and the National College of Arts (NCA) have launched their first-ever collaborative art exhibition. The event, titled "Ranai-e-Khayal-o-Khat" (The Beauty of Thought and Line), features over 300 artworks by faculty and alumni from both institutions, marking a significant step in academic and artistic partnership.

According to University of the Punjab, the exhibition was inaugurated by HEC Chairman Prof Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, alongside prominent figures such as PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, NCA VC Prof Dr Murtaza Jaffar, and Principal PUCAD Prof Dr Samina Nasim. The event is seen as a new chapter in the collaboration between two of Pakistan's leading art and design institutions, offering a platform for creative expression and academic cooperation.

The exhibition is hosted at both institutions, showcasing a wide range of mediums including painting, sculpture, and installations. It explores themes such as freedom, identity, and nature, reflecting both contemporary and traditional artistic practices. The event, which runs until September 3, 2026, aims to foster dialogue and strengthen ties between the academic and creative sectors.
