LAHORE: A meeting of the Deans of Faculties and Heads of Teaching Departments at the University of the Punjab convened at Al-Raazi Hall, utilizing a hybrid format, to assess the admissions and enrolment status for Fall 2026. The focus was on academic programs experiencing low enrolment or insufficient applicants for the available merit seats. Participants deliberated on strategies to enhance enrolment and attract qualified students to under-subscribed programs.
According to University of the Punjab, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem emphasized the importance of a smooth and transparent admission process. He directed university officials to provide maximum support and guidance to students and parents during the admissions period. Dr. Saleem assured that efforts will be made to eliminate unnecessary obstacles and ensure students receive adequate assistance throughout the admissions process. The meeting also highlighted the importance of collaboration between academic and administrative units to facilitate applicants and boost overall enrolment.
