Karachi, In the ongoing AS Natural Stone Under-19 Interzonal Cricket Tournament, organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi with the support of AS Natural Stone, Zone Six Whites and Zone Four Blues emerged victorious in their respective matches. The tournament featured two more games, showcasing the talents of young cricketers in the region.
According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the first match at the KCCA Stadium saw Zone Six Whites securing a convincing 208-run victory over Zone Three Blues. Zone Six Whites, batting first, posted a formidable score of 287 runs for 8 wickets in 45 overs. Key contributions came from Huzaifa Ahsan, who scored 73 runs, and other significant innings by Adam Isai, Hamza Qureshi, Muhammad Farhan, and Abdul Wahab. For Zone Three Blues, Wali Muhammad, Ali Meetha, and Muhammad Muaz each took two wickets. In their chase, Zone Three Blues were dismissed for a mere 79 runs, with Khalid Khan and Salman Sarwar being the top scorers. Abdul Wahab and Abdul Basit were the standout bowlers for Zone Six Whites, taking multiple wickets each.
The second match at the Young Fighter Ground witnessed Zone Four Blues narrowly defeating Zone One Green by 22 runs. Zone Four Blues batted first and put up a total of 214 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, thanks to impressive performances by Mohammad Sufiullah and Amanullah. In response, Zone One Green managed 192 runs before being bowled out. Saad Ali’s half-century was the highlight of their innings, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win. The bowling efforts of Habib-ur-Rehman and Amanullah played a crucial role in Zone Four Blues’ victory.
