Lahore, In preparation for the ninth edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), the six franchises are set to participate in the supplementary and replacement draft this coming Monday, 29 January.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the draft is an online event that allows teams to select replacements for players who have limited or no availability for the season. The draft will cover a range of categories, including Gold, Silver, Diamond, Platinum, and Supplementary, with each franchise having multiple picks across these categories.

In addition to the replacement selections, the franchises will have the opportunity to bolster their rosters through the third and fourth rounds of the supplementary pick, which is designed to add depth to the teams.

The HBL PSL 9 is scheduled to commence on 17 February and will run until 18 March, 2024, with matches spread across four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The tournament opener will take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, with the final match set to be held at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

This event is crucial for the teams to finalize their lineups and ensure a robust squad capable of competing in the highly anticipated cricket tournament.
