UVAS Lahore Hosts Workshop on HEC Graduate Policy 2023 for PhD Scholars

Lahore, The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore, in collaboration with its Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), organized a workshop titled “PhD Scholars Workshop on HEC Graduate Policy 2023.” The event, aimed at raising awareness among PhD students about the new Higher Education Commission (HEC) graduate policy, took place on Thursday at the UVAS City Campus.

According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the workshop featured Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Prof. Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani, who outlined the objectives of the event. She explained that the primary aim was to inform students about the key aspects of the HEC Graduate Policy 2023 and to gather feedback from participants to assess the policy’s effectiveness.

A total of 33 PhD scholars from UVAS attended the workshop, alongside university officials including Registrar Sajjad Hyder, Director of Quality Enhancement Cell Dr. Dawar Hameed Mughal, Controller of Examination Syed Zargham Hyder, and Organizing Secretary Dr. Ghulam Mustafa. The workshop covered a range of topics related to the PhD degree program, such as admission criteria, course work, comprehensive exams, thesis requirements, research paper guidelines, and similarity index.

The event provided an opportunity for PhD scholars to engage in discussions and seek clarifications on the new policy. The workshop also aimed to foster a better understanding of the expectations and standards set by the Higher Education Commission, ensuring that PhD scholars are well-equipped to meet the requirements of the HEC Graduate Policy 2023.
