Turbat, A specialized online workshop spotlighting the UI Green Metric World Universities Ranking was held on October 26, 2023, at the University of Turbat (UoT). Facilitated by the Higher Education Commission in association with UI Green Metric, University of Indonesia, the event aimed to prepare universities for participation in the ranking while promoting environmental awareness among Green Youth Movement (GYM) clubs.

According to a news release by the University of Turbat, the session saw the participation of the focal person, Oversight Committee, and members of the Green Youth Movement Club from the institution. Leading the workshop were Prof. Dr. Ir. Riri. Fitri. Sari, Chairperson of UI Green Metric, and Prof. Ir. Gunawan Tjahjono, M. Arch., PhD, a distinguished expert in Research and Development.

Key objectives of the workshop included enhancing the readiness of universities for the UI Green Metric World University Ranking, familiarizing GYM clubs with the intricacies of UI Green Metric, and boosting understanding and responsiveness concerning environmental situations within individual universities. Participants delved deep into the ranking’s specific criteria, including aspects such as setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water conservation, transportation solutions, and advancements in education and research.
