Haripur, In a decisive victory, the University of Haripur football team clinched the title at the Intercollegiate Championship 2024, concluding the tournament with a dominant performance. The team’s exceptional display of skill and strategy led them to a commanding 4-0 win against Government Degree College Khalabat in the final match, hosted by WAPDA Degree College Ghazi.
According to The University of Haripur, the championship finale was marked by the University of Haripur’s relentless drive, with the team taking an early lead and maintaining their momentum throughout the game. Under the watchful eyes of Professor Kamran Khalid, the Principal of WAPDA Degree College and the chief guest of the event, as well as other notable faculty members and sports officials, the team executed a well-coordinated plan that resulted in a series of goals securing their triumphant win.
Alian Hassan was first to score, setting the pace in the first half. Atif followed with the second goal, amplifying the lead before the break. The second half saw Rehan Akhtar converting a penalty kick, further widening the gap to 3-0. Ahmed Bilal’s goal in the closing moments ensured a 4-0 victory, underlining the University of Haripur’s dominance on the field.
Individual brilliance was also recognized, with Muhammad Usman receiving the “Man of the Tournament” accolade for his outstanding play, and Muhammad Abdullah Teetar being named the “Best Defender,” both contributing significantly to their team’s success.
