University of Haripur and CEF Launch Training Program to Enhance Quranic Education

Haripur, In a collaborative effort to advance Quranic education, the Department of Religious Studies (IRS) at the University of Haripur and the Character Education Foundation (CEF) have initiated a month-long Training of Trainers (TOT) program. This innovative program is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of Quranic teachings and improve their pedagogical skills.

According to The University of Haripur, the TOT program, led by CEF Trainer Mr. Ajmal Abbassi, is part of a broader initiative to empower educators with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective Quranic teaching. Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman, the program has received commendation for its focus on promoting comprehensive Quranic studies alongside character education, underscoring the university’s commitment to developing individuals who are knowledgeable and ethically grounded.

The training sessions have been intensive, covering various aspects of Quranic interpretation and teaching methods. In recognition of his contribution to Quranic education, Mr. Ajmal Abbassi was awarded shields and certificates. Additionally, Dr. Junaid Akbar Khan, Chairman of the IRS Department, presented a token of appreciation to Mr. Sajid Makhad for his support towards achieving the program’s goals.

This month-long initiative not only aims to enhance the capabilities of current educators but also to prepare them to train future generations, ensuring the continuity of quality Quranic education and character building.
