Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya Marks International Day of Destruction of Jannatul Baqi with Global Protests

Rawalpindi, The Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya (TNFJ) in Pakistan commemorated the International Day of Destruction of Jannatul Baqi with protest mourning processions on the 8th of Shawwal Al Mukarram. This annual observance protests the historical destruction of the Jannatul Baqi and Jannatul Mali cemeteries, significant sites in Islamic history. Central Secretary General of TNFJ, Allama Raja Basharat Hussain Emami, expressed gratitude for the widespread support from various communities and the media, which he noted as showcasing unity and solidarity among the Muslim Ummah.

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the processions aimed to highlight the shared grievances of the Muslim community over the destruction of these sacred sites and to foster unity among different Islamic schools of thought. Emami criticized certain national newspapers for ignoring the events, accusing them of showing enmity towards the Prophet Muhammad and his family by not covering the observance. He stressed that such actions demonstrate a disregard for the concerns of the Muslim Ummah.

The event also included addresses from other TNFJ leaders and a report on the global mourning processions by Syed Samarul Hasan Naqvi, Secretary of the TNFJ’s International Day of Destruction of Jannatul Baqi Committee. The day’s events across Pakistan and worldwide aimed to remind the Muslim community of their shared history and ongoing challenges, while also calling for renewed efforts toward unity and stability within the Ummah.
