Seminar on Engineering and IT Careers in Australia

Faisalabad, August 31, 2022 (PPI-OT):Mr. Sebastian Kuntze, Head International Linkages-Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, University of Technology Sydney, Australia visited TUF on August 24th -2022 where he gave an informative and interactive Seminar to students on Topic “ IT and Engineering careers in Australia” followed by interactive question/answer session.

Practice-based education, a leading role in supporting the future STEM workforce, industry partnerships in support of models of learning, student exchange programs, research collaboration and future pathways with UTS were also discussed with faculty and administration.

75th Independence Day Celebrations

Faisalabad, August 16, 2022 (PPI-OT): The University of Faisalabad celebrated “75th Independence Day” with patriotic zeal. Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman delivered message to motivate the students and to devote themselves for their studies for the prosperity and stability of their homeland.

Faculty members, administrative staff and large number of students were present on the occasion. Prof Dr (Meritorious) Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman, Rector and Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar unfurled the National Flag.

TUF signs MoU with SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan

Faisalabad, July 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):The University of Faisalabad (TUF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan on July 19, 2022. Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman in his address told that TUF aspires to equip children’s of SOS with latest skills through its various degree programs for their bright future. Ms Saba Faisal in her address thanked the management of TUF for providing great opportunities for SOS Children.

Prof (Meritorious) Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman, Rector, TUF and Ms Saba Faisal, National Director, SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan signed the agreement in the presence of Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman Board of Governors, TUF.

Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, appreciated this activity and declared it very beneficial for the underprivileged community. Agreement aims to create a long-term partnership in the areas of mutual interests to bridge the gaps among education, opportunities and welfare society (SOS Children’s Village). The agreement will provide opportune of education to the children from SOS village in various degree programs of TUF.

It will help students to get themselves equipped with the technical skill sets, professional knowledge and attitude and to develop a plan for the execution of agreed activities. It will also equip and facilitate the students to cope-up the challenges and standards of international platforms. SOS Children’s Villages team also visited different departments of the University and affiliated Madina Teaching Hospital. The event was well organized by Placement Bureau, TUF.

H.E Al-Shaikh Al-Syed Hashimuddin Al-Gillani from Baghdad visits TUF

Faisalabad, June 13, 2022 (PPI-OT):His Excellency Al Shaikh Al Syed Hashimuddin Al-Gillani from Baghdad (Iraq) visited The University of Faisalabad. After recitation of Holy Quran and Naat Rasool Maqbool (SAW), Durood-o-Salam and Manaqib of Hazrat Ghaos-e-Azam (RA) were offered by Ms Ayesha Batool, renowned Naat Khawan. Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman Board of Governors TUF, Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar, other faculty members and large number of students were present on the occasion.

In his address to faculty members and students, H.E Al-Shaikh Al-Syed Hashimuddin Al-Gillani shared his words of wisdom. He said, Islam encourages both men and women to learn and seek knowledge. He urged the students to devote themselves to their studies and serve the nation. He said that teachings of Hazrat Ghaos-e-Azam (RA) are beacon of guidance for the Muslim Ummah. Mian Muhammad Zubair Qadri presented University memento to H.E Al-Shaikh Al-Syed Hashimuddin Al-Gillani. In concluding session, prayer was offered for the peace and unity of Muslim Ummah.

Current trends and issues of quality assurance practices

Faisalabad, May 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Quality Enhancement Cell, The University of Faisalabad organized a one-day workshop on “Current Trends and Issues of Quality Assurance Practices in Pakistan’s Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)” in Health Sciences wing TUF. Mr Aqeel Akhter Khan, Director, Quality Assurance Agency, HEC and Prof Dr Saeed Ahmad Buzdar, Director QEC, Islamia University of Bahawalpur were the guest speakers. Dr Muhammad Zeeshan Khan, Director QEC TUF described the role of QEC in Higher Education Institutions. Directors of QECs from various universities of Pakistan attended this useful session.

Placement Bureau, The University of Faisalabad organized Job Fair 2022

Faisalabad, May 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):Placement Bureau, The University of Faisalabad (TUF) organized a Job Fair 2022 for graduates on 17th May at Engineering wing. Students from TUF as well as other institutions participated in this Job Fair.

Mr Atif Munir Sheikh, President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the chief guest. In his address to the graduates and faculty members he appreciated the efforts of Placement Bureau, TUF for organizing such a usefully events for the graduates.

Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur Rahman, Rector, Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar, Head of departments and faculty members were present on the occasion. Employers from 45 various national and international companies, who were looking to hire excellent candidates from a variety of majors setup their recruitment booths. This event allowed students and employers to meet, build professional relationships and discussed potential job /internship opportunities. Many of TUF Alumni also attended this event as employers who were excited to come back to TUF and recruit students from their alma mater.
