Islamabad, September 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):A delegation of State Bank of Pakistan (Islamabad and Rawalpindi) visited Shariah Academy, International Islamic University. The Director General Shariah Academy Prof Dr. Abdul Haye Abro along with the officials of the academy received the delegation. The meeting was also attended by Hafiz Ahmed Waqas, Dr. Muhammad Asghar Shahzad, Mr. Hasan Shabbir represented Shariah Academy. Prof. Dr. Abdul Haye Abro welcomed the valuable guests.
During the meeting issues of mutual interests such as opportunities to conduct training workshops and seminars in collaboration with Shariah Academy were discussed. Both the organizations consented to hold such training programs in future for Bankers, Shariah Scholars and other segments of the society.
The Director-General Shariah Academy appreciated the role of the State Bank of Pakistan in promotion of Islamic Banking in Pakistan and ensured all possible support in materializing this noble cause. He added that the objective of the Shariah Academy is to promote Islamic legal philosophy through training programs and other modes. He said the academy shall keep striving to collaborate with maximum organizations and it will also be conducting trainings for various officials for positive outcome in the society.
