Since July 2021, there has been a slight decrease in the number of people who relied on government or NGO assistance to cover their household’s basic needs: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan 

Islamabad, November 01, 2021 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, since July 2021, there has been a slight decrease in the number of people who relied on government or NGO assistance to cover their household’s basic needs.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “In the past 7 days, did you ‘rely on government or NGO assistance to cover your household’s basic needs? (Only reporting percentage of people who agreed).” In response to this question, only 1% of people agreed that they relied on government or NGO assistance to cover their household’s basic needs in August 2021 as compared to 3% in July 2021.
