Punjab University’s CCP Holds Certification Training on Solution Focused Brief Therapy

Lahore, Punjab University Centre for Clinical Psychology (CCP) recently conducted a two-day certification training centered on “solution focused brief therapy.” The workshop saw participation from numerous esteemed professionals, including CCP Director Prof Dr. Saima Dawood, Director Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing, Islamabad Dr. Nighat Gillani, and various PhD scholars and practicing clinical psychologists from regions including Lahore, Peshawar, and Islamabad.

According to a news release by the University of the Punjab, Dr. Saima mentioned that this training was a part of a pre-conference workshop, soon to be organized by CCP. The theme of this upcoming conference is “mental health and rehabilitation: innovation and implementation.” The participants expressed appreciation for the practical knowledge and clinical expertise shared during the training session. Dr. Saima noted that the comprehensive training equipped participants with a fresh approach to addressing various mental health challenges. The session’s success was further emphasized with gratitude extended to Dr. Nighat Gillani for her pivotal role in facilitating the training.
