Punjab Schools to Introduce Baseball Following Success at National Championship

Rawalpindi: Baseball is set to become a part of school curriculums in Punjab, announced the Minister for School Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, during a media briefing at the 25th Men’s National Baseball Championship. This initiative follows significant improvements in the performance of both men’s and women’s baseball teams in Pakistan.

According to Pakistan Federation Baseball, Minister Hayat expressed his enthusiasm for the sport’s development in Pakistan, noting his own experiences as a player representing the country internationally. He highlighted the ongoing success of teams at the GHQ Ground event, organized by the Pakistan Federation Baseball, and credited Secretary PFB Syed Fakhr Ali Shah and his team for their efforts. The Minister also acknowledged the presence and contributions of various team officials and organizers during the event. The semi-finals and finals of the championship are scheduled to continue, with key matches between WAPDA vs. HEC and Army vs. Islamabad slated to take place.
