Punjab Government Enhances Cricket Training with New High-Performance Centres

Lahore, In a significant boost to cricket infrastructure and talent development in Pakistan, the Government of Punjab has officially handed over two High-Performance Centres to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). These new facilities, situated in Sialkot and Faisalabad, are designed to provide state-of-the-art training environments for cricketers, signifying a major advancement in sports facilities in the region.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, these centres are equipped with the latest cricketing infrastructure, including world-class cricket grounds prepared to the highest standards. This development is aimed at nurturing cricket talent across all levels, providing equal opportunities for players of all ages and genders. With the addition of the Sialkot and Faisalabad centres, the PCB now manages five High-Performance Centres across the country, including the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi, and the Inzamam-ul-Haq High-Performance Centre in Multan.

The PCB, under the direction of the Domestic Cricket Director, Nadeem Khan, expressed profound gratitude to the Government of Punjab for their contribution to cricket development. Khan highlighted the importance of these centres in elevating the standard of cricket training in Pakistan. He emphasized that the sophisticated facilities and resources available at these centres would provide an ideal environment for players to enhance their skills and achieve their full potential.

The PCB is set to initiate planning for various events and coaching programmes at these newly established centres. This move is expected to significantly impact the development of cricket in Pakistan, offering advanced training options and support to emerging cricket talents in the country.
