Punjab Arts Council Celebrates Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day With Grand Musical Night

Islamabad: Rawalpindi celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with a grand musical evening titled “Mera Pakistan,” organized by the Punjab Council of the Arts (PUCAR) Rawalpindi. The event, held under the guidance of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Information and Culture Minister Uzma Zahid Bokhari, featured a diverse range of patriotic presentations.

Renowned artists, including Dr. Mubashra Hafiz, Rameez Ishaq, Daniyal Raja, Maryam Khan, Sajeel Rabia Dawood, and a Kashmiri Qawaal group, enthralled the audience with their performances. The show honored Pakistan’s cultural legacy, national unity, and independent spirit.

A large gathering of citizens, artists, and cultural enthusiasts praised PUCAR’s efforts in upholding Pakistan’s cultural identity. The musical tribute commemorated the sacrifices made for the nation’s freedom while showcasing the unity and diversity of Pakistan. Tributes were also paid to the Pakistan Army for its successful operation, Bunyan ul Marsoos.

Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture, Shazia Rizwan, served as the chief guest and commended the singers’ tributes to freedom fighters and the armed forces. Director Arts Council, Muhammad Shakoor, announced that Independence Day festivities, including exhibitions, flag hoisting, tableaus, and competitions, will extend through August 14th. PUCAR remains dedicated to advancing cultural awareness and artistic expression throughout the province.
