TURBAT: The Faculty Graduate Research Committee of the University of Turbat's Department of Economics has outlined a strategy to enhance its graduate research culture, notably with plans to launch a PhD program in Economics. This initiative is part of the department's broader efforts to strengthen its academic offerings and support advanced research.

According to University of Turbat, the committee's first meeting was chaired by Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Business & Economics. Attendees included key figures such as Dr. Waseem Barkat, Director of Graduate Studies, and faculty members from the Economics and Management Sciences departments. The meeting resulted in the approval of research supervisors for MS Economics scholars, with further refinement of research proposals anticipated. The committee also emphasized the importance of mandatory research workshop attendance and maintaining comprehensive research documentation for all scholars.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Gul Hasan commended the meeting's outcomes, highlighting the university's dedication to becoming a leading center of excellence for research on both regional and national levels. The Vice Chancellor reinforced the university's commitment to fostering a research-oriented environment as part of its Strategic Plan 2030, which aims to position the University of Turbat as a prominent institution for high-quality, research-driven education.
