Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced an extensive Coach Education Schedule for the 2026-27 season, with new initiatives aimed at advancing coaching standards across the country. The program, designed by PCB's Head of Coach Education and Development, Shahid Aslam, aligns with national high-performance objectives and modern cricket demands.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the itinerary features a variety of courses, including a tutor training workshop, six Level 1 certification courses, two Level 2 courses for regional coaches, and a Level 3 course for High-Performance coaches. Additionally, there are specialized courses for women, school cricket coaches, and skill-based coaches, as well as an inaugural coaching conference.

The schedule also introduces a new policy for Level 1 certifications, which will now be valid for five years, requiring reacquisition thereafter. The program begins with a two-phase Tutor training workshop aimed at equipping regional coaches to teach Level 1 courses. The first phase has already been conducted in Lahore, with the second scheduled for Karachi.

Aspiring women coaches can attend female-only Level 1 courses, and school cricket coaches in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi will have access to Level 1 courses. Coaches in domestic circuits will be offered biomechanics courses and IT training to enhance their coaching methodologies.
