PU Radio Centre Hosts Workshop on News Reporting and Anchoring

LAHORE, The Radio Centre FM 104.6 at the Punjab University School of Communication Studies has completed a two-day workshop dedicated to honing the skills of news reporting, program anchoring, content writing, and production. The event took place in Hameed Nizami Hall and welcomed new students into the practical field of radio broadcasting.

According to the University of the Punjab, the workshop featured industry professionals including Executive Producer PNN Hafiz Muhammad Naveed Qaiser and Program Manager PU Radio Centre Muhammad Irshad Chaudhry, along with Dr. Mustafa Kamal, who imparted their knowledge to a keen audience of students. Hafiz Muhammad Naveed Qaiser offered insights into the intricacies of news making, anchoring, reporting, and production, highlighting the changing dynamics in the current media landscape.

Dr. Kamal led discussions on radio bulletins and the art of conducting interviews, also elucidating the principles of documentary and report production. Muhammad Irshad extended a welcome to new students joining PU Radio, emphasizing the medium’s significance and the Centre’s ongoing commitment to fostering practical knowledge among aspiring broadcasters.
