President Zardari Condemns Kabul Blast, Urges Doha Agreement Implementation

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has strongly condemned a bomb blast at a Chinese restaurant in Kabul, resulting in several fatalities and leaving one Chinese national injured and another dead. He expressed deep grief over the casualties and extended condolences to the victims' families.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari conveyed sympathy to the injured and their families, praying for their speedy recovery. He acknowledged the determination of Chinese citizens working in Afghanistan despite the increasing insecurity and risks.

President Zardari highlighted the Taliban regime's failure to honor commitments under the Doha Peace Agreement, specifically the obligation to prevent the use of Afghan territory for exporting terrorism. He reiterated Pakistan's stance that no terrorist groups should have safe havens in Afghanistan, emphasizing the need for regional peace and security. He noted that not only Pakistan but also other neighboring countries like Tajikistan have been affected by terrorism originating from Afghan soil.

The President criticized the Taliban's failure to establish a broad-based and inclusive government, stating it contradicts the Doha Agreement. He stressed the importance of fully implementing the agreement and taking concrete steps to end cross-border terrorism.
