Islamabad, July 13, 2023 (PPI-OT): President, Islamabad chamber of commerce and industry, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawri along with a team from the chamber called on President, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), Dr. Hathal Hamoud Alotaibi.

During the meeting, matters pertaining to mutual cooperation and initiatives for academia industry linkages were discussed. On the occasion, the President of ICCI lauded the TECHSAPRK exhibition of final year projects at the faculty of Engineering and technology of university adding that the students had prepared the projects according to the needs of society. He assured that ICCI will be eager to introduce these students to the concerned industrialists so that their projects may serve the society with proper attribution. He also offered that the ICCI will be providing opportunities of internships to the university students. He also appreciated the role of the Saudi Government in promotion of industry and education.

The Worthy President IIUI, on the occasion said universities must address the requirements of the society and IIUI is focusing on the research in the light of contemporary trends. He said exhibitions such as TECHSAPRK provide opportunities to students to get introduced to industry. Talking about the university progress, he said the newly prepared strategic plan has set the varsity on the track of success and progress. He said that the university shall be focusing on initiating joint ventures with ICCI to build a strong bond between academia and industry.
