President Asif Ali Zardari Extends Christmas Greetings to Christians Worldwide

Islamabad, Former President of Pakistan and current President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari, has extended his greetings to the Christian community globally, with a special mention of those residing in Pakistan, on the occasion of Christmas. He emphasized the significant contributions of the Christian community to Pakistan’s development.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, President Zardari recalled the efforts of Quaid-e-Awam, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, in granting equal citizen rights to all non-Muslims in the 1973 Constitution. He also highlighted Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s role in defending the fundamental rights of non-Muslim citizens.

President Zardari encouraged the Christian community to prioritize higher education for their children, enabling them to contribute effectively to the nation’s progress and bring pride to Pakistan. He also took the opportunity to remember the sacrifices of Shaheed Dr. Shahbaz Bhatti, whose services to the country and democracy remain invaluable.
