Larkana, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has emphasized his party’s unique reliance on the people’s support for victory in the upcoming February 8 elections. He highlighted the PPP’s complete trust in the Pakistani populace as the key to its electoral success.
According to Pakistan People’s Party, Chairman Zardari, while speaking to the media after submitting his nomination papers in Larkana, outlined the party’s commitment to improving living standards in Pakistan. He stressed the importance of increasing salaries, securing rights for farmers and laborers, building 30 lakh houses for the poor, providing free world-class health facilities nationwide, and offering relief to the youth.
Zardari also addressed the serious nature of the cipher issue, advocating for a judicial inquiry to uncover the truth behind it. He drew comparisons to a U.S. incident involving former President Trump and classified documents, underscoring the potential national security risks associated with the mishandling of sensitive information.
The PPP Chairman submitted his nominations for three constituencies: Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot, and Lahore. He clarified that the PPP’s battle in the elections is not against any politician or party, but against the widespread poverty, inflation, and unemployment in the country. Zardari expressed his belief that, with support similar to that received by Quaid Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto, the PPP could alter the nation’s destiny.
Responding to questions about electoral alliances, Chairman Zardari stated that the PPP is contesting independently, focusing on uniting political workers across party lines. He also commented on Nawaz Sharif’s evolving political narrative and the Election Commission’s addition of the bat symbol, suggesting it was tailored to benefit Imran Khan.
He expressed his desire to take responsibility for the constituencies of Larkana and Qamber Shahdadkot, historically associated with martyr Ms. Benazir Bhutto. Concluding, Chairman Zardari reiterated his resolve to fulfill the unfinished missions of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto.
