Karachi, In anticipation of potential heavy rainfall across Sindh, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed the provincial government and elected representatives to ensure comprehensive preparedness and response measures. The PPP leader emphasized the importance of effective rainwater drainage and traffic management to minimize inconvenience to the public.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Bhutto Zardari’s instructions highlight the need for the Provincial Disaster Management Authority to work closely with local bodies to mitigate the impacts of the upcoming rains. Special attention was called for the well-being of pilgrims attending the Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan Sharif, with Bhutto Zardari urging for preemptive drainage arrangements in areas expected to be affected by rainwater from the Jhal Magsi and Khuzdar mountain ranges.
The PPP Chairman also advised residents throughout Sindh to limit travel during the expected stormy weather, underscoring the need for collective efforts to navigate the challenges posed by the rains effectively.
