PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Advocates for Judicial Reforms at Iftar Dinner in Naudero

Larkana, At an Iftar dinner held at Bhutto House in Naudero, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called for sweeping judicial reforms to restore the public’s shaken confidence in the judiciary. This appeal comes in light of developments in the case of the late Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, which revealed significant issues within the judicial system.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the PPP leader spoke to a gathering of polling agents, officials, and local dignitaries from PS-10 and NA-194, insisting on the necessity of overhauling the judicial process. He pointed to the Supreme Court’s recent acknowledgment of historical injustices, particularly regarding Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s case, to underscore the need for change.

The chairman reflected on the legacy of the Charter of Democracy signed by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, which includes a roadmap for judicial reform, noting that it remains one of the few objectives yet to be realized. “Our mission is to ensure that justice is both swift and affordable for all citizens,” he stated.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also took the opportunity to direct the Sindh Chief Minister to establish ‘Khuli Kachries’ open forums to engage with the community on developmental projects and grievances at the district level.

Furthermore, the PPP chairman expressed support for the current federal government in the hope of alleviating the economic pressures facing Pakistan. He committed to continuing advocacy for the economic interests of the public, as delineated in his party’s manifesto through the People’s Economic Agreement.

The chairman also announced the impending introduction of the Benazir Kisan Card to support farmers at the provincial level and marked the start of the Benazir Mazdoor Card for laborers.

In closing, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari thanked his supporters for their role in securing a ‘historic victory’ in the elections. His speech was followed by a visit to the Bhutto family graveyard, where he paid homage to his grandfather, mother, and other late family members.
