Bahawalpur, The Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) has recently launched a Soft Skills Development Program for students at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB). The initiative aims to enhance their skills and provide financial support, as highlighted in a press release by The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, the program focuses on key aspects such as teamwork, overcoming challenges, and utilizing leadership skills. This training is designed to boost the students’ self-confidence and prepare them to effectively tackle future life challenges. Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Dean of the Faculty of Biological and Chemical Sciences, remarked that PEEF offers a beacon of hope for talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Vice Chancellor of IUB, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, lauded the efforts of PEEF, emphasizing that the two-day soft skills training will significantly benefit the students. He highlighted that the program would enable students to strengthen themselves and their families economically, contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.
Muhammad Usman Islam, an official from PEEF, expressed gratitude to Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar for supporting the successful organization of the training. He assured that PEEF would continue to provide its services for the betterment of students’ futures. He also mentioned that in recent financial years, PEEF has awarded scholarships worth approximately 56 million rupees to around 600 deserving students at IUB, with a commitment to continue this support.
