PCB’s Nationwide U-19 Camps Laudable, Karachi Coaches Commended for Efforts

Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) initiative to host a 40-day camp for U-19 players across Pakistan has been met with positive feedback, particularly for the commitment shown by coaches and staff in Karachi. This development underscores PCB’s ongoing efforts to nurture young cricketing talent throughout the country.

According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the event was highlighted during a visit to the Karachi Region Under-19 Players’ Academy at the Hanif Muhammad High Performance Center. Nadeem Umar, President of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi, and Khalid Nafees, Chairman RCA, praised the dedication and hard work of the coaches in fostering a winning spirit among the players. They expressed confidence that the ongoing series of victories for Karachi’s teams would continue under the current leadership.

Speakers at the event, including Saif Siddiqui, Joint Secretary RCA Karachi, lauded the efforts of Azam Khan for resolving significant challenges and facilitating ongoing cricket tournaments in the region. The coaches, Iqbal Imam and Agha Saber, highlighted the rigorous training regimen involving three sessions a day focusing on bowling, batting, fielding, and fitness, supported by a dedicated coaching staff.

The PCB was thanked for providing accommodations and facilities at the Hanif Muhammad High Performance Center, which has significantly contributed to the players’ development. The event also featured a showcase of the past week’s performance videos, demonstrating the progress and potential of the young cricketers.
