PCB Announces Departures of PSL Director Sohaib Sheikh and Head of Women’s Cricket Tania Mallick

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the departures of PSL Director Sohaib Sheikh and Tania Mallick, Head of Women’s Cricket, who have stepped down to pursue new career opportunities. Their exits mark the end of significant tenures that contributed to the development of both the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and women’s cricket in Pakistan.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Sohaib Sheikh rejoined the PCB 13 months ago, after previously working with the organization from 2016 to 2019. He was a core part of the team that launched the PSL in 2016 and played a key role in delivering four seasons of the league, returning in 2023 to oversee another successful event. Tania Mallick joined the PCB in October 2021 and has since focused on developing women’s cricket at the grassroots level, expanding the player pool and strengthening Pakistan’s representation internationally. Her efforts were recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC), where she served on the ICC Women’s Committee as a representative of Full Member nations.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer expressed his gratitude for their contributions, noting the impactful roles both Sohaib and Tania played in advancing the PCB’s objectives. He extended the PCB’s best wishes for their future pursuits.
