Lahore, The Women’s National Selection Committee of Pakistan, led by Saleem Jaffar, has announced a list of 23 probables for the upcoming T20 tri-series in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, which will also feature Sri Lanka. The tournament will follow a double round-robin format, culminating in a final on February 2.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the list of probables includes six players who have previously represented Pakistan in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa last year. These players are Anosha Nasir, Eyman Fatima, Laiba Nasir, Mahnoor Aftab, Rida Aslam, and Zaib-un-Nisa.
The final 15-player squad for the tri-series will be selected during a training camp scheduled to run from January 10 to 18 at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi. During the nine-day camp, the players will undergo rigorous training sessions and participate in practice T20 matches.
The probables include Aleesa Mukhtiar, Anosha Nasir, Areesha Ansari, Eyman Fatima, Haleema Dua Zafar, Haniah Ahmer, Kainat Eiman, Komal Khan, Laiba Nasir, Maham Anees, Mahnoor Aftab, Memoona Khalid, Mubeen Ahmed, Muqadas Bukhari, Muskan Abid, Ravail Farhan, Rida Aslam, Samiya Afsar, Sana Talib, Syeda Taskyn Fatima, Tayyaba Imdad, Zaib-un-Nisa, and Zoofishan Ayyaz.
The team management for the series includes Wasim Yousafi as the Head Coach, along with Aisha Jalil (Manager), Shakir Qayyum (Assistant Coach), Zulfiqar Babar (Spin Bowling Coach), Muhammad Ramzan (Strength and Conditioning Coach), Muhammad Usman Shahid (Analyst), and Rabia Siddiq (Physio).
This announcement marks a significant step in the preparation for the tri-series, showcasing Pakistan’s commitment to developing women’s cricket at the under-19 level.
