Karachi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Shadbad (PTS), a political party in Pakistan, has unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming elections, emphasizing its commitment to improving education, health, and employment opportunities in the country.
According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Shadbad, the manifesto addresses the current disillusionment among the population, citing a ruined economy and the control of various sectors by mafia-like groups. PTS Chairman Dr. Hanif Mughal, speaking at a party meeting, highlighted the urgent need to address political chaos, economic instability, and growing unemployment in the country.
Dr. Mughal pointed out the critical issues faced by Pakistan, such as the challenge of repaying national loans and the burden of increasing taxes on the masses. He noted the alarming trend of skilled individuals leaving the country in search of employment, and the growing divide between the rich elite and the impoverished majority.
The manifesto also sheds light on the declining number of school-going children, the burden of high electricity costs leading to suicides, and the irony of an agricultural nation having to import commodities worth billions of dollars annually. It addresses the widespread food insecurity, lack of healthcare facilities, and scarcity of clean drinking water, painting a bleak picture of the current state of the nation.
Dr. Mughal emphasized that under such dire circumstances, progress is unattainable without a significant change in politics. He mentioned that the manifesto calls for a constitutional amendment to empower local government institutions and a uniform, just taxation system covering all sectors, especially agriculture. He criticized the lack of taxation on the large incomes of feudal landlords, despite agriculture contributing 21 percent to the economy.
The PTS manifesto vows to transform Pakistan into a true welfare state by eliminating corrupt politicians, bureaucracy, and mafia groups. The party promises to address pressing national issues, including economic downturns, inflation, and social challenges, aiming to bring about a positive change in the country’s governance and society.
