NUST Secures Multiple Honors at HBL P@sha ICT Awards 2023

ISLAMABAD, The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) showcased remarkable talent and innovation at the HBL Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) ICT Awards 2023, with students and faculty securing three distinguished awards across various categories.

According to National University of Sciences and Technology, a significant accolade was achieved by the BE Computer Engineering students from NUST College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (Class of 2023), Muhammad Tayyab Rashid, Hamid Rasul, and Tazeen Hina,who attained a Gold award in the Tertiary Category for their innovative project, DermaVision. Another noteworthy accomplishment came from the startup ClassNotes, spearheaded by Mashaal Ibne Masha Allah from BE Computer Engineering, NUST CEME (Class of 2024). This endeavor secured a Gold Award in the Education category, with Mashaal Ibne Masha Allah playing a pivotal role as the Founding Member and Head of Content at ClassNotes. In addition, the NUST faculty’s spinoff company, RISETech Pvt Ltd, garnered a Gold Award in the Research and Development category for their pioneering product, EKKO. Prof Dr. Muhammad Usman Akram and Assoc Prof Dr. Sajid Gul Khawaja are credited as the Co-Founders, with Dr. Aliya Ashraf Khan, an Ex-PhD Scholar from CEME, contributing significantly to the research.

The achievements have sparked a wave of pride and admiration throughout the NUST community.
