Nearly half (49%) of Pakistanis still hold the opinion that coronavirus is a foreign conspiracy, a 12% increase from the previous wave in July: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan

Islamabad, October 13, 2021 (PPI-OT): According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 49% of Pakistanis still hold the opinion that coronavirus is a foreign conspiracy, a 12% increase from the previous wave in July.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “To what extent do you agree or disagree with the following statement: ‘I think Coronavirus is a foreign conspiracy’?” In response to this question, 20% completely disagreed, 16% somewhat disagreed, 16% somewhat agreed, 33% completely agreed while 12% did not know. 3% did not provide any response.
