Lahore: Muhammad Zia Afzal successfully defended his PhD dissertation in Mathematics during an open defense session conducted by the Directorate of Advanced Studies & Research. The dissertation was completed under the guidance of Dr. Shahid Saeed Siddiqi.

According to University of Central Punjab, the defense panel included Dr. Khurram Shabbir from Government College University and Dr. Kashif Rehan from the University of Engineering and Technology as external examiners. Dr. Zain ul Abadin served as the internal examiner for the session.
