Karachi, The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has achieved a significant political victory in Karachi’s Central District, attributed to the strategic leadership of Dr. Asim Hussain and Syed Masroor Ahsan. Atif Mushtaq, a senior leader of PPP in the Central District and former Deputy General Secretary, praised the efforts of Dr. Asim Hussain and Syed Masroor Ahsan in successfully challenging the stronghold of MQM in the region.
According to District Central People’s Party Secretariat, The November 19 rally at Hydri Parking Ground marked a turning point, with PPP making substantial inroads into the MQM’s traditional base. Atif Mushtaq noted that the appointment of town coordinators and the strategic planning of Dr. Asim and Syed Masroor Ahsan have significantly impacted MQM’s political stance in the area. The shift is further evidenced by Waseem Qureshi’s joining the PPP, signaling a decline in MQM’s influence.
