Karachi, The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi District Central, in conjunction with idara-e-ilm dost Pakistan, is set to host a tribute event, Muzakrah, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, commemorating the 100th birthday of the celebrated Babai-e-Drama, Khuwaja Moinuddin. This special gathering aims to honor the legacy of one of Pakistan’s pioneering dramatists.
According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the ceremony will take place at 5:00 PM at the Council’s venue near Bilal Police Station in Sector 5E, North Karachi. The event will be presided over by Professor Sahar Ansari, a notable figure in the literary community. Special guests include Dr. Moinuddin Aqeel and the honored guest Dr. Raees Ahmed Samdani, both of whom have made significant contributions to Pakistani literature and academia.
The celebration is expected to draw a wide array of attendees from various fields within the arts community, including poets, writers, professors, renowned actors, musicians, and playwrights, all coming together to pay homage to Khuwaja Moinuddin’s substantial contributions to the dramatic arts in Pakistan.
