Bahawalpur, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur hosted a one-day seminar and workshop on “Forensic Science: Processing of Crime Scene” at its Khawaja Fareed Campus, Faculty of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences. The event, organized by the Department of Forensic Science, aimed to delve into the critical role of forensic science in crime scene processing.
According to The Islamia University Bahawalpur Pakistan, the seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmad, Dean Faculty of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences, and Dr. M. Qadeer-ul-Hassan, Head of the Department. Lecturer Hafiz M. Adeel Aslam also played a significant role in welcoming the guests. Keynote speakers included Mr. Mudassar Irshad, In-Charge of the PFSA Crime Scene Unit, along with Hafiz M. Abbas and Faizan Akram from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency, and Jam Waheed Ahmed Bobra, DDPP Session Court, Bahawalpur.
The seminar and workshop focused on emphasizing the importance of forensic science in society, imparting practical knowledge and skills necessary for its application in the field, and exploring its pivotal role in the criminal justice system. The event aimed to illustrate how forensic science contributes to delivering justice and maintaining peace in society.
