Karachi, The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) Boys Chess Team has achieved 7th place in the HEC All Pakistan Intervarsity Chess Men Championship 2023-24. The team’s performance in this prestigious national competition marks a significant accomplishment for IoBM, showcasing their strategic skills and competitive spirit.
According to Institute of Business Management, the championship, hosted by the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) in Jamshoro, Sindh, saw participation from 20 universities across Pakistan. The event took place from January 13 to 15, 2024, at the LUMHS Gymnasium under the auspices of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The IoBM Boys Chess Team, in their inaugural participation in the HEC All Pakistan Intervarsity Chess Championship, displayed exceptional skill and strategic acumen, which earned them the 7th position in the overall standings. This achievement is a testament to the team’s dedication, hard work, and strategic prowess throughout the competition.
The team’s journey in the Chess Championship not only brought pride and excitement to IoBM but also garnered recognition and a sense of accomplishment within the broader Chess community.
