Karachi, Minzah Shehzad, an alumna of the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), has achieved notable success by securing a grant for her pioneering Capstone Project in the field of Environment and Energy Management (EEM). Her project, focused on developing a textile waste recycling machine, has been awarded a grant of PKR 5.0 million from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) under its Rapid Technology Transfer Grant program.

According to Institute of Business Management, Shehzad completed her MBA in EEM in 2023, with her project supervised by Dr. Jamshaid Iqbal, Assistant Professor in EEM. The grant underscores the project’s potential for significant environmental impact, particularly in the area of sustainable textile waste management.

This achievement not only highlights Shehzad’s innovative approach to addressing critical environmental issues but also signifies the IoBM and HEC’s commitment to fostering research and development in key areas of sustainability and environmental protection.
