Karachi, The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) held its annual President’s Merit Scholarship Ceremony for the academic year 2022-23 on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, recognizing nineteen outstanding students for their academic achievements. The ceremony was graced by the presence of proud parents, IoBM’s Chancellor Mr. Bashir Janmohammad, President Mr. Talib S. Karim, Vice President Ms. Sabina Mohsin of the Foundation for Higher Education (FHE) and Chief Advisor to IoBM, along with deans, heads of departments, management, and faculty.
According to Institute of Business Management, the event was meticulously planned and organized under the leadership of Ms. Sabina Mohsin, with significant support from the Admissions Department and the Financial Assistance and Scholarship Department. Mr. Talib Karim, in his address, highlighted the institute’s pride in hosting the event and pointed out the significant representation of female students among the awardees. He emphasized the importance of a learning culture and the role of students as future leaders in the professional world. Mr. Bashir Janmohammad praised the efforts of the students’ parents and motivated the students to be innovators and job creators, underlining the importance of punctuality, honesty, and rule adherence.
The ceremony featured various segments, including a recitation from the Holy Quran by Parveen Shah, a BBA (Honors) student and a four-time recipient of the scholarship. The event also acknowledged students who received the scholarship multiple times, showcasing their consistent academic excellence. The culmination of the ceremony was the unveiling of a plaque listing the names of the meritorious students, marking a memorable recognition of their hard work and dedication.
The list of awardees included students from diverse fields such as Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Entrepreneurship, Mathematics and Economics, Psychology, Social Entrepreneurship and Social Leadership, Actuarial Science and Risk Management, Data Science, and MBA. This wide range of disciplines highlights IoBM’s commitment to fostering excellence across various areas of study and its role in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
