International Islamic University Hosts Khatm e Quran Ceremony at New Campus

Islamabad, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), hosted a Khatm e Quran ceremony at the Masjid of the male hostels on its new campus, marking an important religious event during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The ceremony, attended by faculty and students, featured the recitation of the Quran by 20 Hufaaz who had recited Quran during Taraweeh prayers throughout Ramadan. Participants were recognized and presented with gifts in acknowledgment of their devotion.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the event also included a Dars e Quran session, led by Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anwar, Chairman Aima committee and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Shariah and Law. Dr. Anwar emphasized the significance of Ramadan and the Quran, urging attendees to reflect on their spiritual journeys and the teachings of Islam. He praised the efforts and support of the IIUI administration, including the university’s president, in facilitating the ceremony and promoting religious education among students.

Dr. Hafiz Ghufran Ali Khan, Students Advisor, expressed gratitude for being part of such a “sacred gathering” and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to student welfare and academic excellence. The event concluded with a dua led by Dr. Anwar, who also thanked the IIUI President for his “untiring efforts” in support of the university’s religious and educational mission.

The Khatm e Quran ceremony at IIUI’s new campus underscores the institution’s dedication to fostering a deep connection with Islamic teachings and the Quran during Ramadan, reflecting a broader commitment to the spiritual development of its students and community.
