Islamabad: The first phase of the IIUI Future Leaders Training Program has successfully concluded, marking the end of a series of structured sessions aimed at enhancing academic quality and leadership skills among lecturers and teaching research associates. The program focused on developing leadership capacities within the university by improving both academic and personal development skills of its participants.
According to the International Islamic University Islamabad, the program included sessions on various critical topics. Prof. Dr. Saeed Badshah, Vice Chancellor of the University of Technology, Nowshera, led a session on Quality Assurance and Academic Excellence. This session covered national and institutional quality assurance frameworks, accreditation standards, and internal mechanisms necessary for sustaining academic quality, emphasizing the faculty's role in continuous academic improvement.
Additional sessions were conducted focusing on academic standards and effective communication. Dr. Khushbakht Hina from NUML provided insights into outcome-based education and curriculum review processes, while Prof. Dr. Amna Mahmood from Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University highlighted the importance of emotional intelligence and communication in academia.
The program also addressed leadership decision-making and problem-solving in university settings, with Mr. Shahid Minhas from the University of Bolton UK Pakistan Campus sharing practical experiences. Throughout the sessions, faculty concerns related to career progression were addressed, and the university's commitment to facilitating professional growth was reaffirmed.
