IEEE UOL Student Branch, MILSA in collaboration with multiple societies organize Tech 2.0

Lahore, May 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors (MLSA) Lahore community in collaboration with the IEEE University of Lahore (UOL) Student Branch and multiple other tech communities organised Tech 2.0 event at COLABS on March 12 (Virtual) and March 19, 2022 (On Site). The event was focused on making trending technology stacks accessible to all and celebrating the technology trends with fellow tech enthusiasts.

Several collaborators assisted in orchestrating the event, including COLABS, IEEE Women in Engineering Lahore section, IEEE Computer Society Lahore Section, IEEE IAS Lahore Section, IEEE FAST NUCES Lahore Student Branch (SB), Pakistan Society of Industrial Engineers, IEEE Student Branch Sukkur IBA, Computer Science Society GCU, and others.

The online session was characterized by multiple talks from various professionals, such as Mr. Arsalan Khatak (Technical Program Associates-MLH), who presented on “Getting Started with Open Source”. Additionally, Mr. Ahsan Ayaz (Software Architect-Syncron) discussed “Surprising Tool to bridge the gap between Devs and QAs”, Mr. Adil Shehzad (MCT and Devops Engineer) presented on “Automating AWS infrastructure using Terraform and GitHub Actions,” and Mr. Saad Hassan (Full Stack Blockchain Engineer – Geek21.to) elaborated on BlockChain and Web 3.0.

During the on-site session, Mr. Rehmat Qadir (Sr. Director of Engineering at Devsinc) talked about planning a career as a developer, and Mr. Ahsan Ellahi (Director of Engineering at Devsinc) discussed career building according to the current tech industry. The On-Site session also had a panel discussion on “Immersing into the Tech-preneurial and Community Ecosystem” in which Ms. Maria Sadaf (Ecosystem and Partnership Expert), Ms. Saba Kalsoom (Ecosystem and Partnerships Lead at COLABS), Mr. Usman Aslam (Lead Coordinator at COLABS), Mr. Fahad Ashiq (MCT and Mentor at MLSA Lahore), and Mr. Saad Aslam (Software Engineer i2c) were the key speakers.
