ICC Awards Cricket Broadcasting Rights in Pakistan to PTVC and Tower Sports Until End of 2025

Lahore, The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed the awarding of broadcasting rights for major cricket events up until the end of 2025 to Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC) and Tower Sports, ensuring that fans across Pakistan will continue to have access to comprehensive coverage of the sport’s biggest tournaments.

According to International Cricket Council, this partnership grants PTVC and Tower Sports non-exclusive rights to a series of men’s and women’s ICC World events, encompassing both television and digital platforms. This agreement includes broadcasting rights for high-profile events such as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, and the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, among others.

ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice expressed excitement over the collaboration, highlighting Pakistan’s significance as a cricket-loving nation with a vast and enthusiastic fan base. The move is aimed at expanding the reach of international cricket events within the country, enhancing the viewer experience for millions of fans.

PTVC’s Managing Director, Sayyed Mubashar Tauqir Shah, remarked on the milestone achievement for the corporation, emphasizing its dedication to broadcasting premium sports content and connecting with cricket enthusiasts nationwide.

Similarly, Duraid Qureshi, CEO of Hum Network which operates Tower Sports, reflected on the acquisition as a reaffirmation of their commitment to delivering top-tier sports entertainment, promising to bring the excitement of ICC World Cups and other events directly to Pakistani fans.
