Karachi, October 09, 2023 (PPI-OT): Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) is back with its third Corporate Cricket Championship, which is aimed at raising awareness around Emergency Services and how IHHN is playing a critical role in making these services accessible for target communities. At IHHN’s Korangi Campus in Karachi, there is a dedicated 35-bed emergency department that serves a catchment area of over 2.5 million, benefiting more than 100,000 patients each year. Pakistan has an increasing need for a strong emergency care system as emergency conditions – acute cardiovascular disease, road injuries, and stroke – form the top 10 leading causes of death, and it’s important that we adopt a multi-sectoral approach towards this issue and take various stakeholders on board and resolve the issue.

We are pleased to announce that IHHN expanded its horizons this year and invited more dynamic teams from leading corporate brands and organizations to participate in these tournaments, which included Shan Foods, Nelson Paints, Feroze 1888 Mills Limited, GEO Super, Tata Pakistan, Adamjee Enterprises, TPS Pakistan and Hamdard Pakistan also participated in the tournament held at the Moin Khan Academy in Karachi. These corporate teams not only played great cricket but also made this event a possibility through their sponsorships, which is a testament to their commitment to helping us provide free and timely life-saving treatment to patients in the Emergency Room.

The annual Cricket Championship provides an ideal opportunity for corporate entities and institutions to come forward and support this noble mission while engaging in an exciting sporting event. Several organizations stepped up to support the two-day event held in Karachi. The event was well attended by the leadership of IHHN, celebrity ambassadors of IHHN, and representatives of the sponsor organizations.

This thrilling 2-day championship held in Karachi helped bring together the corporate community to join hands to support IHHN and its initiatives to provide free-of-cost quality healthcare to the people of Pakistan.
