Habib Ullah and Imran Shah Shine with Centuries in Karachi’s Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament

Karachi, In an exciting day of cricket, the Khansortium Karachi Region Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament saw four matches unfold across different venues, showcasing the depth of talent in the city’s cricketing circles. Centuries from Habib Ullah and Imran Shah were the highlights of the day’s play.

According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the tournament witnessed some remarkable performances that captivated the local cricket fans. In the day’s opening match at KCCA Stadium, Zone-VI Greens triumphed over Zone-II Whites by 60 runs, propelled by a spectacular century from Habib Ullah, who scored 138 runs. Zone-VI Greens posted a formidable total of 305/5 in their allotted overs, with significant contributions from Farhan Marwat and Haider Abbas. Despite a valiant effort, Zone-II Whites could only muster 245/7 in response, with Ali Haider leading the way with 72 runs.

The second match saw Zone-IV Blues overcoming Zone-I Reds by 29 runs at the Eastern Star Ground. Imran Shah’s brilliant century of 114 runs set the tone for Zone-IV Blues’ innings, guiding them to a total of 238/6. Zone-I Reds, in their chase, fell short, managing 209/9 despite Akbar Babar’s half-century and a solid knock from Aurangzeb.

In the third fixture at Landhi Gymkhana Ground, Zone-V Blues dominated Zone-III Greens with a commanding 146-run victory. Muhammad Asif’s 85-run knock was the backbone of Zone-V Blues’ innings, helping them reach 304/9. Zone-III Greens were then bowled out for 158, unable to cope with the bowling attack led by Saifullah and Syed Azanuddin.

The day concluded with Zone-III Reds edging out Zone-I Greens by 3 wickets in a closely contested match. Zone-I Greens set a target of 232/7, thanks to Muhammad Talah and Hafiz Asad Baig’s efforts. In reply, Zone-III Reds chased down the total, with Abdullah Marwat’s 68 and Abdul Raffay’s 47 leading the successful run chase.
