Foreign Player Registrations Open for HBL PSL 2024 Season

Lahore, The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) has announced the opening of its registration window for foreign players for the upcoming 2024 season. The ninth edition of this flagship cricket event is tentatively set to take place from 8 February to 24 March.

According to a news release by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), along with the registration of foreign players, category renewals for local players will soon be finalized and published. After the category renewals are released, the league will open its trade and retention window. Subsequently, the pick order for the player draft for the 2024 season will be revealed.

All player retentions and trades need to be settled before the HBL PSL 9 Player Draft. This draft is tentatively planned for mid-December, following the conclusion of the National T20. Cricket enthusiasts can anticipate the final of the National T20 to be held on 10 December in Karachi.

In a recap of the previous season, the HBL PSL championship was clinched by Lahore Qalandars, marking their second consecutive title after defeating Multan Sultans in the final held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Islamabad United secured third place in the standings, Peshawar Zalmi came in fourth, while Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators ended the season in fifth and sixth positions, respectively.
