First Punjab Music Competition Celebrates Local Talent in Attock

Attock, Punjab Arts Council organized the First Punjab Music Competition at Government Post Graduate College Attock, showcasing local singing talents. The event featured participants aged between 14 and 30, with Deputy Director Colleges Prof. Arshad Khan serving as the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony.

According to Punjab Arts Council, the competition aimed to nurture singing talent within the district. Prof. Arshad Khan highlighted the significance of music in expressing human emotions and fostering cultural identity. He emphasized the Punjab Arts Council’s role in promoting arts and providing entertainment, stating that such initiatives are crucial for cultural preservation and societal development. Sajjad Hussain, Director of the Arts Council, remarked on the importance of connecting to one’s culture for societal progress and identity formation.

The competition concluded with Syed Aflak Ali Sha winning the first prize, followed by Unza Khan and Muhammad Tariq in second and third places respectively. The winners received cash prizes and certificates of appreciation, celebrating their contributions to the cultural landscape of Punjab.
