Faryal Talpur Pays Tribute to Begum Nusrat Bhutto on Her 12th Death Anniversary

LARKANA, Pakistan People’s Party Women’s Wing Central President, Faryal Talpur, remembered and honoured the legacy of Begum Nusrat Bhutto, often referred to as the “mother of democracy,” on the occasion of her 12th death anniversary.

According to a news release by the Pakistan People’s Party, in her official statement, Faryal Talpur emphasized the significant role Begum Nusrat Bhutto played in the country’s democratic movement, particularly after the demise of her husband, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Talpur highlighted that it was Nusrat Bhutto who took on the mantle of the party’s leadership, rallying against dictatorship and spearheading what she termed “the most popular democratic movement” in Pakistan, marking it as a significant chapter in the nation’s history.

Further in her tribute, Talpur praised the late Begum’s guiding principles, stating that she taught many to prioritize national service over personal grief. She admired Nusrat Bhutto’s political acumen, her deep compassion for her party’s workers, and her unwavering bravery, seeing them as sources of inspiration. Concluding her message, Talpur asserted that truly honouring Begum Nusrat Bhutto means committing to the very values and missions she bravely championed throughout her life.
