Karachi, Faryal Talpur, the Central President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Women’s Wing, has commemorated Quaid-e-Awam, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on his 96th birth anniversary with a heartfelt tribute.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, Talpur in her tribute described Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto as a symbol of hope for the oppressed, marginalized, and deprived communities. She emphasized Bhutto’s enduring legacy and his fight against dictatorship, which continues to be revered by the people of Pakistan.

Talpur also connected the upcoming general elections on February 8 to the legacy of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, highlighting them as a pivotal moment in furthering his mission. She stressed the importance of supporting Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in efforts to guide Pakistan through current challenges such as inflation, unemployment, and poverty, towards a future marked by prosperity, development, and equality.

The remembrance and call to action serve as a reminder of the PPP’s commitment to its founding principles and the vision of its revered leader, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Rawalpindi, Under the auspices of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, Siddiq Akbar Day was celebrated nationwide in remembrance of the first Khalifa, Ameerul Momineen, Syed Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA). The day marked the passing of the esteemed figure and was commemorated with various events across major cities in Pakistan.

According to Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, the day was observed with rallies, seminars, and conferences in cities like Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, and Muzaffarabad. Scholars and mashaikhs affiliated with the Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Ulema Board highlighted the virtues and merits of Hazrat Syedna Siddique Akbar in their Friday sermons. Muhammad Shadab Raza Naqshbandi, head of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, emphasized the life of Hazrat Siddiq Akbar RA as one of self-sacrifice and devotion. He urged the public to prioritize ideas over personalities in elections and stressed the caretaker government and Election Commission’s responsibility in ensuring transparent elections.

The leaders of the movement, including Allama Attaur Rahman Dhaniyal, Dr. Muhammad Tayyab Raza, Engineer Sheikh Najam Al Thaqib Qadri, and others, spoke about the significant role of Hazrat Sayyidna Siddique Akbar as a devoted companion of Prophet Muhammad. They noted his foundational efforts in the Movement of the End of Prophethood, countering false claims of prophethood during his caliphate.

The speakers also expressed concerns over the increasing apostate activities of the Qadiani lobby and emphasized the need to follow the teachings of Sayyedna Siddiq Akbar (RA) to protect the belief in the end of Prophethood. They called for spreading the bright teachings of Sayyidna Siddiq Akbar (RA) at the official level to counter hatred, prejudice, and intolerance in the country.

The observance of Siddiq Akbar Day reflects a significant aspect of religious and cultural reverence in Pakistan, with the Sunni Tehreek movement advocating for the adherence to traditional Islamic teachings and values.

Rawalpindi, Allama Aghasid Hussain Maqdisi of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh Jafaria emphasized the need for implementing United Nations resolutions to ensure the right of self-determination for Kashmiris and Palestinians. He warned that without these measures, unrest will continue in South Asia and the Middle East.

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, Allama Maqdisi highlighted the importance of conducting a plebiscite as per the United Nations’ resolutions for the people of Kashmir and Palestine. He stated that the ongoing conflict and unrest in these regions are a direct result of not adhering to these resolutions. He marked the anniversary of the United Nations Security Council’s resolution adopted on January 5, 1949, which aimed to facilitate self-governance for the Kashmiri people.

Allama Maqdisi criticized the silence of international institutions on this matter, suggesting that it was a concerning issue. He expressed that the Muslim rulers are being manipulated by colonial powers and emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to tackle terrorism in the country. This includes conducting operations against terrorist groups and their facilitators.

During his address at the Mahfil Anwar at the Headquarters School of Shia Ali Mosque, Allama Maqdisi also touched upon the sacrifices made by the soldiers of Pakistan, including Syed Safdar Ali Naqvi and Ashraf Ali Rizvi, during the Hussain Front’s peaceful agitation in 1984. He announced the observance of “Martyrs’ Day” on January 12 to honor those who have laid down their lives, regardless of religion and country.

Furthermore, Allama Maqdisi urged the government to expose Indian aggression on international forums and asserted that the only solution to the problems in Kashmir and Palestine is through a referendum and the right to self-determination. He reiterated his commitment to following the policy of Quaid-e-Millat Jafaria Aghasid Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi, focusing on a peaceful and practical struggle for rights.

He concluded by reaffirming the importance of the sacrifices made by martyrs for their religion and country, promising that these sacrifices would not be in vain.
