Lahore, October 10, 2021 (PPI-OT): Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed and former Provincial Minister Dildar Cheema called on Acting Governor Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at Governor House. Chaudhry Javed Chatha, former chief game warden Badar Munir and Matloob Rabbani were also present on the occasion. Issues of mutual interest, including the current political situation, were discussed during the meeting.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that the dream of a stable government cannot be fulfilled without the vision of PM Imran Khan and giving relief to the people. Inflation must be controlled in all circumstances. Appropriate strategies are needed to provide relief to the people.
He said that Shahbaz Sharif and PML-N government tried to shut down every welfare scheme started in our time, froze the funds of institutions and also tried to close humanitarian institutions like Rescue 1122. He said that for ten years the PML-N government did not allow the new building of Punjab Assembly to be completed. Despite the completion of Wazirabad Cardiology Hospital, it was not made operational which resulted in loss of thousands of precious lives for which Shahbaz Sharif is responsible.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that as the Chief Minister, he started programs in collaboration with international organizations to improve the education system. Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed said that it was a historic achievement to decorating Quranic verses and hadiths in the new building of the Punjab Assembly regarding Khatam-e-Nubawwat (SAW). Dildar Cheema said that there is no precedent for the development work done in Faisalabad during your tenure. At present, Faisalabad has become a hotbed of problems.
